What gem of collectibles we find sometimes and this collectible brooch from the 1920s is excatly that! The romantic brooch is made in highly collectible antique Coalport porcelain, which is sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of English porcelain. The brooch was made in Staffordshire, the home of the potteries and, traditionally, the centre of the English ceramics industry.
 
The beautiful brooch is made in white CoalPort China and has lovely gold circumference circling the romantic shepherd and a Victorian lady in an English summer garden with blooming pink roses and bushes. There is also an ornate gold border giving a sophisticated finish to the brooch.

History of CoalPort China and its trademark:
 
Coalport China originally began manufacturing beautiful bone china products from its Coalport location in Shropshire in 1889.
In 1967 Coalport was acquired by the Wedgwood group. Production of Coalport tableware was slowly phased out and the most important patterns were moved under the Wedgwood brand.
 
From 1875-81, the plain printed or painted letter mark was used. This was the standard printed Coalport backstamp from 1881 to around 1939. 'England' was added to the mark around 1891, and 'Made in England' replaced 'England' from about 1920.
