A pair of earrings that could have stepped straight from the pages of a 1980s fashion editorial. Designed by Frank Usher during the era when statement jewellery reigned supreme, these striking earrings echo the glamorous floral extravagance associated with the great houses of the period, particularly the romantic botanical creations that made Oscar de la Renta a favourite of society women and fashion icons alike.
Rendered in rich cobalt blue enamel and luminous gold tone metal, the design is a celebration of florals in full bloom. Twin flowers cascade elegantly from the ear, framed by an openwork circular motif and delicate scrolling foliage. Three pendulum-like drops sway gently beneath, creating movement with every turn of the head. The vivid blue petals against the warm gold setting lend the earrings a regal, almost Mediterranean character - equally suited to a summer linen dress, a silk kaftan in Capri, or an evening gown.
Bold enough to command attention yet remarkably wearable, they embody the joyful confidence of 1980s couture jewellery. These are earrings for women who appreciate jewellery as an extension of personality rather than mere adornment.
To encounter Frank Usher pieces in unworn condition after more than four decades is exceptionally rare. These earrings remain exactly as they were when first stored away - a preserved fragment of 1980s fashion history, waiting for their first wearer.

These earrings come from a remarkable discovery - deadstock from a historic London jewellery warehouse that closed its doors in the late 1980s. Decades later, the warehouse was rediscovered and reopened, revealing untouched vintage inventory preserved exactly as it was when the business ceased operations.
Today, this archive supplies rare pieces to film and production houses such as Bridgerton, Joan, and other major costume productions, alongside a select circle of vintage dealers.
