A solid make and material it is a sturdy piece of excellent craftsmanship. The necklace is 22K gold plated and weighs in at 6.5 ounces/185gm. This is a very unique Monet necklace from the 1980s with a very heavy chain and a faux stone midnight blue pendant.
 
The pendant looks like a marbled stone set in a substantial gold plated frame. The necklace is stamped Monet four times, on the clasp, on the pendant, and on each side of the pendant on the back of the chain. It is a collectible piece of Monet.
 
The necklace features a deep blue oval stone in the center in a 3/8 inch high setting, and features a thick braided chain that is 3/4 inch wide and has the look of fine jewellery.
 
Vintage brands such as NAPIER, MONET, TRIFARI to name a few, have become rare collectibles and thus have now become investment pieces given only rare pieces are available in the market and there prices often increase in valuation.
