This time we have broken our own record when we handpicked this runway vintage piece. A five strand beautifully graduated faux large pearls ending in a a single large oval pearl clasp set in 18ct gold mixed with rhodium plating and rope design detailing.
Large sized pearls graduating towards the back and five such magnificent layers give the necklace a magnificent statement presence, similar to Chanel runway pearl looks. A collectors' dream, the necklace is from a renowned British costume jewellery manufacturer SPHINX, who last produced their pieces in the late 90s.
About SPHINX, England:
- Founded in 1948, the Sphinx company was a British manufacturer famous for its excellent quality costume jewelry.
- They created jewelry for many talented artists and high-end shops in Europe and United States, namely: Ciner. Jamaz, Boucher, Kenneth Jay Lane, Butler & Wilson, Nina Ricci, Caura, Fried Paris, Saks 5th Ave., Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales etc.
- In Europe & America, Sphinx Jewelry is known for its exquisite craftsmanship, attention to detail, and timeless designs.
- All of their pieces are 18ct gold plated
- They last produced jewellery in the late 90s, and their pieces are soon becoming rare finds now, making them a sought after collectible jewellery and thus an investment piece.

- In very good vintage condition. There are age related wear on two pearls, and three smaller pearls close to one end of the clasp. None of the wears mentioned is easily noticeable.
