Europe, late 1980s | Deadstock vintage costume jewellery
Length: 34 cm | Tasselled drop: 10 cm | Extension: 8 cm

Some pieces are designed to adorn.
Others are designed to enter before you do.

This dramatic necklace was created in the late 1980s by a revered European costume jewellery manufacturer—one that closed its ateliers quietly before the decade turned, leaving behind archives of extraordinary, unrealised designs. Preserved as deadstock, this piece never made it to shop floors or showrooms. It waited instead, untouched, until it was rediscovered decades later by a London-based jeweller whose private archive now supplies original vintage jewellery to major theatre and film production houses around the world.

The silhouette is unapologetically powerful. A sculptural, Y-shaped form descends into a fluid, elongated tasselled drop—meant to move with the body, to catch light, to command attention without asking for it. This is jewellery made for stage, screen, and women who understand drama as a form of elegance.

It feels deliberate. Cinematic. Almost costumed—yet impossibly wearable.

The Woman Who Wears It

She is self-possessed and intuitively stylish.
She understands that presence is not volume, but intention.

She might wear this over a deep black dress, hair swept back, the tassels moving subtly as she walks into a room already half-watching her. Or she might style it unexpectedly—over a white silk shirt, unbuttoned just enough, turning restraint into seduction.

This is not a piece for blending in.
It is for women who know when to arrive.

Styling Notes

  • Wear it as the sole focal point—no other necklace required.

  • Best paired with clean necklines: plunging dresses, wrap silhouettes, silk blouses.

  • Striking against black, ivory, champagne, or jewel tones.

  • The generous extension chain allows versatile styling—high and sculptural or lower and languid.
