It is a beautiful jet black full forward face profile cameo of Bacchus the god of wine brooch. The very beautiful cameo is raised 3/4" in high relief.
The brooch is made in jet black horn and has a pin at the bac, and is of a large size.

- In excellent vintage condition. There is only a very minor gum mark on the top right of the brooch. It is not a breakage but possibly a left over of gum centuries ago. Not easily visible in real as much it is visible under the photography light. We have also taken a daylight video of the brooch to show the same that the gum mark is barely visible essily. No other defect or damage. In very good condition given almost 150 years old.
