From the 1980s Lancashire collection, this striking pair brings together sculptural gold, elegant movement and the confident proportions of the decade. Finished in triple gold plating, they have a rich, luminous presence that makes even the simplest outfit feel considered.
 
The design rewards a closer look. A softly rounded, oblong top sits neatly against the earlobe, its surface crossed by a sweeping diagonal fold. Beneath it hangs an articulated, open rectangular drop with rounded corners and long, gently twisting sides. Raised polished edges meet softly textured gold surfaces, creating beautiful shifts of light as you move.
At approximately 5 cm high and 3.5 cm wide, they frame the face beautifully.
 
The articulated construction allows the lower section to move independently beneath the top, giving this substantial statement design a lovely fluidity.

These earrings are original 1980s deadstock, retained from unsold stock and never pre-owned. Beautifully preserved in excellent, as-new condition, they have the substantial metal construction and assured finish that make vintage costume jewellery so satisfying to collect and wear.

Sourced from the same specialist London warehouse as our other vintage discoveries, they come from an established collection supplying jewellery to film and television costume departments and production houses, including Bridgerton, Joan and Wuthering Heights.
